Description
Plissé screen consists of a specialised mesh attached to aluminum frame designed to keep leaves, bugs and birds from entering a building (house or a room), whilst it allows shading and proper ventilation of the place.
The mesh of the Plissé screen uses fiberglass: Α fiber-reinforced plastic with glass fiber, a very flexible material that is being applied and used in all modern constructions; regardless of the functionality of the product. With that method, the Plissé screen is constructed using an aluminum made frame in which the mesh of the screen is applied. The frame of the screen is installed either into the window itself or directly into the wall.
Plissé screen is constructed using an aluminum framing while its mesh to be made with the same materials of any other type of screens. This particular mesh that imitates the musical instrument of “accordion” or pleated fabrics is built by toughened polyester, an incombustible material. Simultaneously, the mesh (fiberglass made) of the screen can fold or unfold in a horizontal manner “zig-zag” thanks to its flexibility that the Kevlar cords attached to it, offering a smooth and controlled operation. However, this specialised mesh limits the visibility comparing with other similar products. With the application of the total black mesh, an option can be found only in this product, shading is boosted even more so.
Caterpillar track can also be chosen for free pass, but at the same time this product can be selected using bottom rail (without caterpillar track) in cases that there are limitations in terms of the construction (height>width). This type of screen can be fit into a single or double door products and especially for the latter each door can be either smaller or bigger than the other without causing any issues to the functionality of the screen. Finally, Plissé screen can be offered with a bilateral opening.
Plissé screen is a bit more solid compared with the other types of screens that can fold and unfold with a medium cost of construction.
